We are a family-owned and run vineyard in Westfield, near Hastings, southeast England. The area is a beautiful setting of fields, woodlands, Roman iron ore mines, and of course now the vineyard. We strive to create a sustainable environment that is rich in wildlife, protects and enhances the quality of our soils and vines.
We currently make 3 wines, a still bacchus ortega blend, a bacchus ortega col fondo, and a traditional sparkling from chardonnay and pinot noir which is yet to be released.
Philip has worked at Davenport Vineyards since 2007 becoming vineyard manager in 2011-21. He also gained valuable experience working for Olivier Humbrecht MW at Domaine Zind Humbrecht and Lukas Rudolfsky at Vinné Sklepy Kutná Hora. Philip has a degree in Viticulture & Oenology from Plumpton and is a triple UK pruning champion.
